About

Short articles about classical music

On this website I publish short articles about classical music: important composers, styles, interesting events and their backgrounds, and so on! Each article features audio examples and recommended recordings.

The aim of this website is not to be complete. It is not an encyclopedia. The articles are meant to be read in a few minutes, and hopefully they will introduce you to aspects of classical music you’re unfamiliar with right now.

All articles are original writings. Reliability is important. When in doubt, I always consult a musicological reference.

The articles on this site are translations of articles on exmusica.nl. This site can be a bit behind if newer articles have not yet been translated.
